Best smartphone in Rs 30-35,000 range
If you plan to buy a mid-range smartphone and have a budget of Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000, then this is a must-read for you. This segment is dominated by four popular smartphones that promise solid performance with high-end specifications. We compared the four smartphones: Samsung Galaxy A8 + vs OnePlus 5T vs Nokia 8 versus Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. We used the four smartphones and compared them with different parameters to help you decide which ones you could buy.
The Samsung Galaxy A8 + is powered by the company's Octa-core Exynos 7885 processor. On the other hand, both the OnePlus 5T and the Nokia 8 and the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, which was Qualcomm's flagship chipset last year. In our tests, we found that the four devices worked very well, in particular, there was no delay. The four devices worked well during our game sessions and watching movies and videos.
The Samsung Galaxy A8+ sports the same Infinity Edge display which Samsung used in its flagship smartphones Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. The handset comes with a 6-inch AMOLED display with 1080x220 pixels resolution. On the other hand, the OnePlus 5T also comes with a full-screen display. The device features a 6.01-inch full HD+ display with 2160x1080 pixel resolution. The Nokia 8, however, lags behind and doesn’t come with an 18:9 display. The handset comes with a 5.3-inch QHD display with 2560x140 pixel resolution.
The Samsung Galaxy A8+ houses a 3500mAh battery with fast charging support. The phones manage to stretch throughout the day and it also charges pretty quickly. However, during our testing, we found that the device was charged using its own charger. We were not able to charge the smartphone using any other charger.
The OnePlus 5T is backed by a 3300mAh battery which easily lasts a day and the dash charging support quickly adds juice to the device. The Nokia 8, on the other hand, packs a 3090mAh battery which lasts for about 12 hours and there is no support for fast charging. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is backed by a 3400mAh battery which easily lasts a day of moderate usage. However, same as the Nokia 8, the Mi Mix 2 doesn’t support fast charging.
