Simple Crystal Tester Circuit
This article is aimed at all those electronics enthusiasts who like to play with the basic components of electronics that are widely available.
1. Crystal Tester Circuit
Crystal is used as an oscillator to produce a high frequency. In all major electronic projects, glass is used instead of coil. It is easy to test a coil with a multimeter, but it is quite difficult to test a crystal. To solve this problem, this simple project was developed with few passive components to test the crystal.
Circuit Components
This electronic circuit consists of a Crystal oscillator, two capacitors and a transistor that forms a Colpitt oscillator. A combination of diodes and capacitors is used for rectification and filtering. Another NPN transistor is used as a switch to turn on the LED.

Operation of Circuit
The whole circuit is operated with two transistors, two diodes and some passive components. When the test glass is good, it works like an oscillator in combination with a transistor. The diode rectifies the output of the oscillator and the capacitor filters the output. This output is now supplied to the base of the transistor and the transistor starts to drive.
An LED is connected through the collector resistance of the transistor. The LED is correctly polarized and begins to emit light, i. it starts to glow If an error occurs in the test glass, the LED will not turn on
